- Are you a Marxist Leninist? If so, describe what Marxism Leninism means to you.
Yes. I’m a far left in the economic axis and would like to devote my life in defeating any kinds of exploitation and oppression on laborers around the world. Before being a marxist, I’ve realized that the mankind history is a history of people’s self-liberation and have been longing for some ultimate state of society with people equally-liberated. Marxism made me realize that my previous social ideals have actually been thought about hundred of years ago and was then called utopian socialism. To me, Marxism Leninism is like a weapon of thought — those ideals, ones tenuous and illusory, gains real power in life; those ones ignorant and lack of theoretical guidance, gains a scientific point of view; And I am hence leaded to the right way.
2. Is there reforming capitalism?
There is controversy on whether capitalism can be reformed but personally, I don’t think a reforming capitalism exists. First and foremost, capitalism has its intrinsic defect. It cannot solve the problem of alienation to labor. Under capitalism, laborers and the means of productions are naturally separated, which is not a flaw that can be fixed by any kinds of reformation. Secondly, capitalism is unstable. This is proved by the periodic economic crisis. (The theoretic argument should be too long, and I personally recommend Ernest Mandel in this part.) Third, the capitalistic value is insufficient. Capitalistic libertarians resort to order and individual morality, but Karl Marx once said: “Communists never make moral demands on people, for example, you should love each other, don’t be egoists, etc.; on the contrary, they clearly know that whether egoism or self-sacrifice is a necessary form of self-realization under certain conditions.”
3. What is your stance on trans rights?
I support trans rights.
4. Favorite socialist leader in history?
A Marxist don’t engage in personal cult 😉
5. Stance on China?
Combining market economy and private capitals, Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is a necessary compromise under the current inner and external world situation, and is a valuable groping worthy of recognition and development along the tortuous road towards socialism.
As a Chinese, I wish to collaborate with communists comrades around the world and lead my country to a more developed and more mature socialistic society in the future.
6. Apart of any organizations? If not, what orgs are you interested in?
I’m not currently apart of any organizations, but am interested in the Fourth International.
7. What is dialectical materialism?
Instead of believing in absolute and universal values and using it to view the mankind history, dialectical materialism teaches us that values are contemporarily constructed, are correlational, and are changing in history. But the deconstructed history itself is objective. Instead of resorting to some stable metaphysical philosophy, we should recognize it in a dialectical point of view.
8. What is Zionism and what is your stance on it?
I support the diversified development and prosperity of all unique cultures and nations on this planet, including the Jewish people. But Zionism developed in and after 20 century is an imperial and colonial movement. Zionistic colonizer occupied Israel area and expelled thousands of Palestinians from where they live. I support Jewish people, but am opposite to Zionism.
